The Outlook for Business Travel and Events in APAC

17 Apr 2024
Main Stage
MICE

Travel and tourism is bouncing back, with international arrivals to most APAC destinations to recover pre-pandemic levels either this year or next. Business travel overall is recovering a little slower than travel for holidays and visiting friends/relatives, but the return of MICE and events has been strong. In this session, I'll share our projections for tourism for APAC countries in coming years, including for business travel specifically, and share some insights on the rebound of MICE events worldwide. As part of this discussion, we'll look at growth for travel from key source markets, the economic benefits of business and MICE tourism to destinations, and potential risks in the global economy for the tourism industry.
