Kaori is a Travel and Meetings industry professional with an extensive background in Meetings & Events, airlines and business travel with expertise in strategy, business development and account management in EMEA and APAC regions. 

Kaori started her career in airline industry with KLM in Tokyo followed by ANA and British Airways in London before transitioning into wider travel industry in 2006 at American Express (prior to GBT becoming a separate organisation from Amex) as a sales manager for UK & Ireland dedicated to Meetings & Events.

In 2008, she was asked to take on a regional role being responsible for Meetings & Events sales for  Europe, Middle East and Africa. 

In 2015, Kaori accepted a role at BCD Meetings & Events to head up its regional sales strategy for Europe. After 3 years building strategy and customer base, Kaori was asked to come back to Meetings & Events at AmexGBT to head up Asia Pacific Business Development team, relocating from London to Singapore.

In 2023, Kaori has accepted a new role of Head of Business Development APAC & EMEA, taking over 
sales teams in both regions. Kaori’s expertise is to lead diverse sales professionals while providing strategic insights and advice in 
creating meetings programmes as well as in complex multi-country, multi-phased implementations
and communication strategy. 

In her spare time, Kaori is a passionate environmental protectionist and anti-poverty campaigner 
volunteering through local Singapore based charities.
